A Notice to Mariners about some survey work that is due to be carried out within Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm has been issued. The notice is summarised below and can be downloaded here.
Seabed Investigations
From the 28th February until further notice the survey vessels Prince Madog and Chartwell will be carrying out seabed investigations at various locations within the Gwynt y Môr Offshore Windfarm.
All work will be conducted within the GyM site boundary. Other vessels are advised to observe a 500m safety zone around the vessels engaged in cable operations survey or diving operations.
Information about the vessels involved in the survey work and a link to their details on MarineTraffic.com are given below:-
- Chartwell: Survey vessel | Call sign MHGV6
- Prince Madog: Research / survey vessel | Call sign ZNLJ5
The vessels will monitor private radio channels and VHF Channel 16 at all times.
