Survey work is due to commence on the export cable route for the Gwynt y Môr Offshore windfarm.
This work will be carried out by the survey vessel Freja, and is due to start on the 24th March for 10 days. A notice to mariners concerning these operations has been issued (here).
The survey vessel will monitor VHF channel 16. Other vessels are asked to keep their distance from her whilst she is carrying out survey operations.
You can follow the movements of Freja on marinetraffic.com (she is listed as FREJA [UK] Tug). She is currently working in the Solway Firth.
