Work on the installation of inter-array cables within the Gwynt y Môr Offshore Windfarm is due to start imminently. A notice about these operations can be downloaded here and is summarised below.
The cable laying work will be carried out by the vessel Polar Prince at various locations within the windfarm area. The vessel will be monitoring VHF channel 16 at all times.
All other vessels are asked to give the Polar Prince 500m clearance to ensure that these operations can be carried out safely. The call sign for the Polar Prince and also a link to information about the vessel, including her current position, is given below.
