Mariners are advised that survey operations are due to be carried out within the Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm from the 2nd September 2015 from the vessel Channel Chieftain VII. Diving operations that were being carried out from this vessel have now been completed.
This notice provides an update on both the survey and diving operations.
Survey operations
The vessel Channel Chieftain VII is due to commence survey operations within the Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm boundary from the 2nd September 2015 until further notice. A notice to mariners describing these survey operations can be downloaded here.
Information about the vessel involved in this operation, including the call sign and a link to the vessel details on the Marine Traffic website, which will show its current location, is given below.

During survey operations the Channel Chieftain VII will have restricted ability to manoeuvre. All vessel traffic is asked to keep a wide berth when Channel Chieftain VII is engaged in operations. The vessel will maintain a listening watch on Digipool 1 and VHF Channels 14 and 16 at all times.
Diving operations
Diving operations that were being carried out from the Channel Chieftain VII have now been completed, and the notice to mariners for this activity (summarised in our previous update here) has been withdrawn.
