Mariners are advised that Minesto UK Ltd are due to recover some sub-sea components from the Holyhead Deep. Details are provided in a Notice to Mariners that can be downloaded here and which is summarised below.
Recovery of Subsea Components
Minesto are due to recover some sub-sea components from their existing location approximately 6km west of South Stack to the Port of Holyhead. This operation is part of the ongoing development programme for the Holyhead Deep project and is being carried out to facilitate routine maintenance and system upgrades.
The recovery operations are due to commence on Monday 25th March 2019 and will take approximately 4 days to complete (weather permitting).
The operations will take place at location 53° 17.7957′ N 004° 47.7582’W. A safety zone of 500m will be re-established around this point. A map showing the location of the operations is shown in the Notice to Mariners which can be downloaded here.
