Mariners are advised that maintenance operations are due to be carried out by the jack up vessel Wind Server at a location within the Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm off the North Wales coast during February 2019. A Notice to Mariners has been issued, which is summarised below and can be downloaded here.
Maintenance operations
The jack up vessel Wind Server is due to be carrying out maintenance at wind turbine C10D within the Gwynt y Môr Offshore Windfarm area. The location of this turbine can be seen on the Kingfisher Awareness Chart here, and coordinates for the turbine are given below:-
- Turbine C10D: 53° 28.7845′ N 003° 31.31783’W (alternatively 53° 28′ 47.07″N 003° 31′ 19.07″W)
The start date for this work is expected to be the 8th February 2019, weather permitting, with an expected duration of 3-5 days.
Wind Server is a 79.3 m jack up vessel with a red hull and white superstructure. The vessel details, including a link to its present location, are:-
- Wind Server: jack up vessel | Call sign OWLB2
When at the specified locations the vessel will be restricted in the ability to manoeuvre and other vessels are asked to observe a 500m exclusion zone at all times.
The vessel will monitor VHF Channel 16 at all times.
